We fight to Win

In our short time as grassroots activists, some of the things we've been able to accomplish include meeting with congressional representatives as well as various departments & agencies within the Biden Administration, including Karen Bass, Barbara Lee, Joyce Beatty and Cedric Richmond’s office. We have also had positive meetings with the Census Bureau, the OMB, the SBA and the Domestic Policy Council to discuss policy recommendations and provide solutions that we believe will help to close the racial wealth gulf. Of particular note is our work on the California bill AB3121and successfully lobbying of this bill out of the Senate and onto Governor Gavin Newsom's desk where it was signed into law. Several of our leadership members have been appointed to Reparations Task Forces & Commissions at their city or state level, and our chapters are actively working with Civil Rights and Racial Equity Commissions across the nation to help shape policies for the Black Community. We are actively growing our membership base, as well as establishing coalition with other grassroots organizations that are fighting for policy and redress for Black Americans descendants of US chattel slavery.
